Why was a Treaty needed in New Zealand?
There were 200 whalers left they spent months and time at sea. When the whalers go to the port of New Zealand called Russell they behaved badly they got drank.
The treaty was to protect the missionaries when something happens. So people can come together can get to know each other.
The musket wars were in the 90th-century war there were 20000 people killed in the musket war. They did a trade which means the musket given the Maori muskets guns and Maori gave muskets food.
The declaration of independence was 5 years before the treaty was placed. 34 north chiefs signed the treaty.
It would protect anyone who signed the treaty.

earthquakes
what is an earthquake?
An earthquake is the shaking of the surface of the Earth, resulting from the sudden release of energy in the Earth's lithosphere that creates seismic waves.
How earthquakes happen?
When two blocks of rock or two plates are rubbing against each other.
what types of seismic waves are there?
primary wave is pushing forwards.
the secondary was is pushing up.
This is a graph of earthquakes that have happened in the l00 years.
If there is a huge earthquake people are most likely to die or have been hurt.

treaty blog post
The treaty I have a choice is?
England and Scotland.
how does this treaty relate to our topic about treaty of Waitangi?
they both can have a tribe and come together.
reflection about your thoughts on Waitangi Day and if we still need to commemorate it each year?
I think we should keep Waitangi because of the sign of the treaty in the bay of the island.

This team we have been looking at the cultural unit
So far I have learnt about other cultures and how good their food is.
I know I have learnt this because i have been listening.
practicals we have made this team are fish and chips from new Zealand.
Skills I have learnt from the practicals are to use the right thing eg, board, knife, jug.
And I will use these in the future by using my head and not asking people.
Working with other people in my group has been amazing because we all got along.
